There are many notes app for android out there and here comes one by Google itself. In short words, it is simple, intuitive and gets the work done : recommended !




It can used to take short notes or to make a To-Do list. At the same time, it has option to add images & reminders to the note. You can in fact add not just time based reminder but also a location based one, which we found to be pretty useful. You can share the note with someone via an email(gmail) id. Finally, all your notes are synced to the server and you can access it anywhere on any device connected to your Google account.

Here is a detailed tutorial on how to use the Keep app by google:

1. To share the note with someone
   
   
2. Change the background color of the note
   
    
3. Add image/photo to note
   
   
4. Title of note  - add title for the note by clicking here
5. Content/body of note - type anything here. To create a to-do list press on the settings icon(marked as 7) then click on "show checkboxes"
   
   
   
   You can add as many items you need . When done with the task listed, check the box before the item and it will be relegated below in the 'checked' list and shown as strike-through text. you can undo this by clicking on the checkbox before the checked item.
   
    
6. Optional reminder (Time/Location based)
   
   You can select generic time like tomorrow morning or specific time or you can select specific area/city/building by clicking on location based and searching.
   
   
7. Settings icon
   
   Change the settings by clicking this icon.
   On the main menu, you can change the display style of notes from default multi column view to single column view if it suits you.

   

You can even use Google voice speech to text to narrate your notes by clicking on the microphone icon on the main screen.
