We are working on a review of the latest MIUI on all Xiaomi devices as well as non Xiaomi devices. You shall read our verdict on that soon. By that time check out on your device and let us know what you feel. The looks are simply stunning but what's more important is the thing under the skin and let's see how many improvements are there in place for this new ROM.

Please do share your experiences and feedback here.

7 Things you did not know about Xiaomi RedMI. Non obvious review after 5 months of usage!

1. Quite impressive camera ( both rear and front). Though not as good as Asus Zenphone 5 but close enough. Gives tough competition to Samsung and Sony phones at 4 times the price. It is better than it's big brother(MI3) too ! When compared to most of 13Mps camera, this gives better or very similar image quality in terms of details, color honesty and tonality. HTC and Sony cameras love to fake a quality by over sharpening and saturation, not REDMI. Default filters in the camera app are also very interesting.

2. Ultra powerful charger : where MOTO G, Samsung phones give 500maH charger, Xiaomi provided a 2000maH charger. Faster charging means a lot of time saved. faster charging becomes even more important when you consider charging powerbanks. To charge a 5200mAH powerbank, it takes overnight on other chargers, on Xiaomi, you can charge it in the morning in 3 hours.

3. Intuitive UI, saves lot of time over time, that gets wasted on cranky interfaces like Xperia and Lumia.

4. Beautiful UI: even if you are not an aesthetic affectionado, it is easy on the eyes. Even simple apps like Notes are minimalistic and spot-on. Same with recorder, network settings and so on.Icons are simple to understand and navigate at the same time beautiful in design.

5. Huge base of  peer developers means that 3rd party updates and fixes will be available for long time, unlike SONY, SAMSUNG,NOKIA, LG,MOTOROLA, ETC which forces you to buy a newer model.

6. Physically STRONG !!! I dropped my phone , in fact it was literally thrown from my hands on the road and it sustained just a dent on corner without any electronic damage. Plus 2 other drops on concrete floors without any dent. I also dropped this phone at least 12 times on carpeted surface at office, home and car without damage.

I don't use any screen guard and there are ZERO scratches after 5 months of usage. I keep keys in the same pocket as Redmi.

7.OTG : many phones even at 5x price lack this feature.
