Top 12 Indian bikes with highest mileage

which motorbike has highest mileage ?

This is probably the most important question that an Indian consumer asks before buying a motorcycle or motorbike in India. Highest mileage is a not a very specific value though as we found, it depends on various things and sometimes even the motorcycle which has more mileage in 'dry test' will yield a lower on-road mileage. This is why we have used a normalization formula to give you a better ranking of India's top mileage bikes.

Here, we present the summary of the results for your quick review. Detailed report follows:

Rank Model Mileage ARAI Mileage city Highway Overall
1 Hero NXG 87.7 79 84 81.7
2 Star City 83.9 78 82 80
3 Bajaj Platina 100 96.9 74 81 79.3
4 Hero Passion pro 84 75 79 77.4
5 Bajaj Discover 100 90 71 80 76.3
6 Hero Spendor pro 90 71.2 78 75.8
7 Hero Glamour 83 73 77 75.6
8 Honda CB Twister 85.7 72.5 76.3 75.5
9 Bajaj Platina ES 96.9 68 73 73.6
10 Hero iSmart 96.9 65 69 70.7
11 HF Dawn 73 67 77 70.7
12 Bajaj CT100 89.5 62 67 67.4

In this ranking, we have put most weightage to the the most important criteria, city mileage 57% weightage while highway mileage has been given a weightage of 29% and lowest weight-age to the ARAI mileage, 14% .How we reached at these values is less important than the fact that why it was done so. Our country's single source of all official automotive bench marking comes from Automotive Research Authority of India or ARAI. However we gave it a very low weight-age because of two reasons:
  1. Far too favorable testing condition
  2. Wide disparity in deviations between various models
Hence most of the importance was given to the city driving condition reported by thousands of voters across India. This gives a better idea of real-world mileage for these top 12 motor bikes. With an issue that we can't trust people's skills when comes to accurately calculating the mileage without biases and errors so value that you see here are again weighted average of user feedback and editor tested mileage.
Also note that personal style of riding, road gradient, fuel and atmospheric conditions affect mileage considerably and don't be shocked if you get + or - 15% mileage from what people have reported.
