Motorola nightmares : Biggest cons of Moto G and Moto X and Moto E

Please read this carefully before buying any of the new MOTOROLA phones


While the Motorola sparked some frenzy at the launch of MOTO G, making the geeks gawk at the high specced wonder. In fact in many countries like India, Moto G was sold out within hours of release and received tremendous positive response for loads of features like the Corning Gorilla glass, powerful hardware et al. Not to refute the glowing reviews from users and geeks alike, here are certain issues that you need to consider before shelling out your money on Moto devices.



*Only those issues are listed that have been reported by at least 5% of customers so that it keeps out rare manufacturing defects



*Motorola and Flipkart.com have consistently made it clear to thousands of customers that they are not interested in any replacement or service. Please read 1 star and 2 star reviews of these products.





MOTO E ( Rs6,999)  REVIEWS : click here 

  • Connection issues - call drops, loss of network, needs frequent restarting
  • Flimsy back cover - can break after 3-4 use in some cases. replacement=₹900
  • Over Heating even in normal use
  • HIGH SAR value of 1.5  = double/triple of other providers like Nokia, Samsung, etc. If you are afraid that cellphone causes cancer then this is sweet poison for you!
  • Poor battery backup for some users, not a common problem
  • Display can become damaged without any physical impact. Few users have reported banding, blacking out of screens and other issues.
  • Fragile display breaks at one fall. Very Brittle screen. replacement=₹5000

  • HIGH SAR value of 1.17  = unreasonably high. If you are afraid that cellphone causes cancer then this is sweet poison for you!
  • Poor battery backup for some users, pathetic for smaller fraction of users

  • Nano SIM card. Not available with some operators. Difficult to cut than Micro SIM card.
  • Call drops and network losses have been reported by some users.
  • Extreme Over Heating has been observed by significant fraction of users.
  • HIGH SAR value of 1.39  = double/triple of other providers like Nokia, Samsung, etc. If you are afraid that cellphone causes cancer then this is sweet poison for you!
  • Poor battery backup for some users, pathetic for smaller fraction of users
  • Fragile display breaks at one fall. Very brittle screen glass. replacement=₹10,000-₹14,000

Please be advised that these problems are just there on a fraction of Moto devices out there and most of the users are happily using their phones without issues.
